Health & Medical Access at Bukalasa Agricultural College

The College provides First Aid for minor injuries and sudden illness on campus. When a case requires more than basic care, the student/staff member is referred to a hospital or clinic in Wobulenzi/Luweero. Our goal is to stabilise, advise, and ensure you get to appropriate medical care quickly.

What We Can Do On Campus

  • Immediate First Aid for cuts, sprains, minor burns, headaches, fainting, etc.
  • Basic assessment and referral for further medical attention.
  • Incident documentation and guidance on next steps.

When You Need a Hospital/Clinic

  • Serious or persistent symptoms (e.g., high fever, severe injury, fractures, allergic reactions).
  • Chronic condition flare-ups (e.g., asthma, diabetes) needing a clinician.

Student Responsibilities

  • Keep personal medication with you and inform the Dean of Students/Warden about chronic conditions.
  • Maintain valid medical insurance / means of payment for referred care.
  • Follow infection-prevention guidelines and report incidents promptly.

After-Hours & Emergencies
