CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2021/22 ACADEMIC YEAR ON PRIVATE SPONSORSHIP

The Academic Registrar Bukalasa Agricultural College invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the under listed Academic programmes.

I: Certificate Programmes- 2 Years Full Time

Programme Minimum Entry Requirements
Agriculture O - level with credits in Agriculture or Biology and at least passes in English, and Mathematics.
Animal Husbandry O - level with credits in Biology or Chemistry and at least passes in English, and Mathematics.
Agribusiness Management O - level with credits in Agriculture and Mathematics and at least a pass in English.
Horticulture O - level with credits in Agriculture or Biolo8y and at least passes in English, and Mathematics.
Home Economics & Community Nutrition O - level with credits in Agriculture, Biology or Food and Nutrition and at least passes in English, and Mathematics.
Agricultural Mechanization O - level with creditsin Mathematics, Agriculture, and at least a pass in English.
Modular Certificate
Crop Production and Business Management O - level with a score of at least passes in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, English, and Mathematics
Livestock Production and Business Management O - level with a score of at least passes in Agriculture, Biology,Chemistry, English, and Mathematics.
Agri-Processing and Business Management O - level with a score of at least passes in Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, English, and Mathematics..

II: Diploma Programmes-2 Years Full Time

Programme Minimum Entry Requirements
Agriculture A - level with at least 1 Principal Pass in Either Biology, Agriculture or Food and Nutrition Or,
Holders of a certificate in Agriculture /Horticulture
Animal Husbandry A- level with at least a Principal Pass in Biology Or,
Holders of a certificate in Animal Husbandry/Agriculture
Agribusiness Management A- level with at least 1 Principal Pass in Either Mathematics, Economics, or Agriculture Or,
Holders of a certificate in Agribusiness Management
Horticulture A- level with at least 1 Principal Pass in Either Agriculture, Biology or Food and Nutrition Or,
Holders of a certificate in Agriculture/Horticulture
Human Nutrition and Dietetics A- level with at least 1 Principal Pass in Either Food and Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry or Agriculture Or,
Holders of a certificate in Animal Husbandry, Agriculture or Home Economics and Community Nutrition
Modular Diploma
Crop Production and Business Management A- level with at least 1 Principal Pass in Agriculture, Biology or Chemistry Or,
Holders of a certificate in Agriculture /Horticulture/Agribusiness Management/ Crop Production and Business Management
Livestock Production and Business Management A- level with at least 1 Principal Pass in Agriculture, Biology or Chemistry Or,
Holders of a certificate in Animal Husbandry/ Agriculture/Agribusiness Management / Livestock Production and Business Management
Agri-Processing and Business Management A- level with at least 1 Principal Pass in Agriculture, Biology or Chemistry Or,
Holders of a certificate in Agri-Processing and Business Management or any Agricultural related field

III: Diploma Programmes- 3 Years Distance Learning

Programme Eligibility
Agriculture i) Certificate Holders in Agricultural related disciplines obtained from recognized Institutions

ii) Grade V Teachers with majors in agricultural related subjects

iii) Grade III Teachers with Diploma in Agriculture

iv) Degree/Diploma Holders in Natural Sciences based Courses

v) A- Level with Principal passes in either Biology, Agriculture or Chemistry and 3 years experience and active engagement with the sector

2. Application Forms can be picked from the Academic Registrar’s Office upon payment of a non-refundable application fee of Uganda Shillings 45,000/= excluding Bank Charges to the College Account No: 3100018355 (Centenary Bank).
3. Application Forms can also be downloaded from the college website www.bac.ac.ug
We have 5 application forms:
(a) Form A: Full Time Diploma programmes.
(b) Form B: Diploma – Distance Learning programmes.
(c) Form C: Modular, Skill-Based Diploma Programmes
(d) Form D: Full Time Certificate Programmes
(e) Form E: Modular, Skill-Based Certificate Programmes.
Each applicant is expected to use the appropriate form depending on the study programmes they are interested in.

4. Application forms should be filled and submitted physically at the College or regional centers with the following attachments;
i) Former School Identity Card (photocopy)
ii) Birth Certificate (photocopy)
iii) Result Slips/Transcripts (photocopies)
iv) 1 passport coloured photograph (current)
v) Application fee payment receipt
